Suicide (Latín sui caedere, ‘kill oneself), is the act of take off your own life.  In many religions consider it a sin and in some jurisdictions as a crime. In other way, some cultures view it as an honorable way to escape some humiliating situations, with no escape or painful in the extreme, which i think is totally absurd.

To be considered a suicide, death must be motivated by something personal and not just a consequence of something, such as the martyrs, they are not considered as suicide because are killed on behalf of a belief. Nor are suicide the who sacrifice themselves for situations of emergencies, or soldiers who die in war. In the case that suicide has legal consequences, the law includes that there must be proof of intent to die, and death itself for the act to be considered a suicide. Psychology is  revealed as the main science to prevent suicide.

Ahn Jae-hwan

“Ahn Jae-hwan was found dead in the back seat of a black van on September 8, 2009. Husband of Jung Sun-hee, was 36 years old and left a suicide note asking that his body be donated if they were in good condition. He also apologized to his parents to leave this world before them and left a few words to his wife making it clear that he loved her, committed suicide because he ought a lot of money”.

As I said at the beginning in some countries is considered a crime, in Spain is discussed the issue as soon as a «third person» is involved in a suicidal act could be considered a ignore the duty of help,which is a crime in many legislations. This is justified as long as the person who kills himself is in a state of temporary insanity, or a severe depressive state or other causes, but if the act of suicide is taken with full exercise of the mental faculties nobody can stop it, and The reverse may be a crime of coercion, which punishes those who « without being lawfully authorized, prevents another with violence do what the law does not prohibit » (Article 172 of the Penal Code CP-Spain must be made noted in this connection, that suicide « is an act not prohibited by law », as stated by the Constitutional Court Spain . SUICIDE AND PSYCHIATRY

Suicide may also be the effect of psychiatric disorders, commonly accompanied by depression or anxiety, such as generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and all disorders of depression . In these cases, the disease  is the primarily causing suicide and not the logical analysis of the individual.

“This girl was a model and actress, Jang Ha-yun (27), whos nterpret to Sunny (one of the three  girls of Jin Sun Mi) in the drama «Boys Before Flowers», committed suicide on March 7 2009. Se hanged for depression and was found by her sister.”

SUICIDE AND THEOLOGY

Theology says that for some suicide is «death directly given to itself,» and explains that although both views are similar, contain different nuances.While for the first ,direct suicide is always intrinsically evil; for the second, the direct suicide is always sinful, but indirect suicide is not that.

A possible classification  to divide the suicides is:

• The vicarious: is the that accelerate the act of death that looms in the future, with the justification that there is no hope and believe only see around suffering and nothing can compensate for the waiting period.
• Perfectionists: do not tolerate any reduction of the attributes of his person, both in the beauty as sexual potency, or any defect,  impairment economic or social or loss of power and prestige.
• The hedonist: do not support anything that would constitute an impediment or a decrease in prevalence sensual pleasure.
• The transitional: to certain transitional life crises unavoidable, opt for suicide.
• Symptomatic: this depend on mental illness, psychosis, mental confusion, dementia and depression.

“The actress «Wish upon a star» and «last scandal», Choi Jin Silde of 39 years, she suicide on October 2, 2008, after allegations and  a traumatic divorce , She is hanged for depression.”

“Choi Jin-Young the younger brother of the actress Choi Jin-Sil,He was found dead at his home on March 29, 2009 after an apparent suicide, according to the Gangnam police station. According to researchers at the Gangnam police station, Choi Jin-Young  39-year-old hanged himself in his apartment. His mother found him and reported the incident to the police and 119 rescue team at about 2:12 pm. Choi was taken to hospital of Gangnam for the treatment CPR but was pronounced dead on arrival”

SUICIDE AND A VISION SOCIOLOGICAL

The French sociologist Émile Durkheim in his work “Suicide” (1897), notes that suicides are essentially individual phenomena that respond to social causes. Societies have certain pathological symptoms,primarily integration or regulation social either excessive or insufficient of the individual in the community. Therefore, the suicide would be a social fact.

Durkheim begins his study with a definition of suicide as «Any case of death resulting directly or indirectly from a positive or negative act by the victim herself and as she knew, would produce this result.»

Example of a positive act: shooting himself in the head, an example of a negative act: refused to take some medicine to let it die.

Durkheim distinguishes four kinds of suicide:

• Suicide selfish, typical of societies where the individual lacks the social integration
• Suicide anomic, characteristic of a lack of social regulation (anomie),there is a lack of regulation while social norms are not internalized as their own by the individual.
• Suicide fatalistic when there is a high degree of social regulation
• suicide altruistic , characteristic of societies with high social integration, the individual commits suicide by their sense of belonging to society. They kill for her, a clear example is the kamikazes.

Jung Da Bin

Jung Da Bin (27 years) committed suicide on February 10, 2007, She is hang, this was the note left on their website minutes earlier:

Suicide is the leading cause of death among South Koreans!.

very distressing…right?…

EUROPA PRESS reported that suicide is the leading cause of death among the young South Koreans, according to a government report indicates that one factor that may explain this finding is the high level of stress that youth is subject to the competitive nature education system and labor market, in this case the finding employment after graduation.

Approximately, the 51% of Korean adolescents aged 15 to 19 years say they have suffered stress at school and in the exam to enter university has led them to ever consider the possibility to hang.

Meanwhile, the 22.6% of young people between 20 and 24 years say the stress for finding employment after graduation is the main reason they can think about suicide, the report said, included by the agency South Korean Yonhap News.

A study published last March of the  2008 revealed that South Korea  had the world’s highest suicide rate of all Member States of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), with an average of 35 suicides for day.

Today’s report also states that in 2008 took their own lives 13.5 per 100,000 South Koreans aged 15 to 24 years. Traffic accidents are the second leading cause of death among young people in South Korea, with 9.2 deaths per 100,000 people, followed by cancer (3.7) and drowning (1.3).

INTERNET SITES IN KOREA PROMOTES SUICIDE!.

“The increasing cases of suicides collective established for Internet users on the Internet suicide pacts has led the authorities to monitor Web sites and punish the participants up   to 10 years in prison.”

«And there are so many!» Exclaims Kim, general secretary of the Association for Suicide Prevention, in Korea, private advisory group that aims to reduce the number of suicides.

One of the suicide pacts was conducted by Internet, involving two women who died poisoned by carbon monoxide in a small apartment in southern Seoul..

In another, five young people (which they agreed on the Internet, after failing in his first two attempts) gathered at of the beach motel to discuss more effective methods. There, a group member changed his mind and fled to call police.

Experts attribute this increase to the tensions of modern life and the devaluation of rural life, but also worry that the Internet contributes to that increase. South Korea has one of the highest rates of access to broadband network (as occurred in Japan in recent years),the Internet became effective for half spread lethally suicidal thoughts  among users.

In just over a generation, South Korea, originally an agrarian society, became a highly competitive economy, technologically advanced, remains the pressure to achieve academic and career success.

Meanwhile, the traditional support base, the family is also in conflict: Divorce rates reached a record, and lifelong employment guarantees evaporated and raised the financial crisis in Asia in the 90s.

This post I wanted to do to attract the attention of all those who think like me, after reading about the death of this young actor Park Yong Ha, I chose to South Korea as an example for the high rate of youth suicide  and what I found was that many actors have committed suicide, but I don’t just want to draw attention to Korea but throughout the world.

What‘s happening to society, in what are we becoming?

I am a young person and I suffer just seeing how young people end with their lifes, lives that are just beginning to live them, life is the greatest gift we have received from God, and only he can give it and remove  the life.

Young is happening to us, we are just beginning to live, school, work, college, all is upon us but it’s all part of life, stress can not beat us, young people must unite and send a warning to «YES TO LIFE, NOT TO DEATH, «we are so full of life, dreams, hopes and opportunities, life is a constant struggle, we must face it with courage and dignity. young people look for reason to live, and you will find many, your family, your friends, love, and most importantly the love that I owe it to yourself, think of all that happens, nothing is forever, everything has a beginning and an end, no test is so large that for we can not bear, in life everything has a solution, the only thing hopeless is death.

Do not want to fall in matter of religion, because not everyone is a believer, but remember there will always be a wonderful human being to take care of you and me, young people have feet to walk, hands to touch, to hug and do things, eyes see, a nose to breathe and smell, a mouth to speak, so why not say «I CAN NOT» NEED HELP «when the pressure is too much, we have to feel a touch, a heart that is physiologically ,that pumps the oxygenated blood to our bodies, but spiritually ,we feel inexplicable feelings, love yourself and love others and you be a completely happy person, no matter how much you earn, no matter how much you lack, you are full of wonderful things, unparalleled and unique ,you can give the world, do not be so selfish, depriving the world of your presence, just because you’re a coward, I do not want  offend anyone, I want reactions, WAKE UP and look towards the future, the world waits for you.

Furthermore not only think about yourself, think about the pain they may cause others with their loss, their parents, siblings, friends, imagine for a moment that you are a mother or father and that your son commits suicide … close your eyes …you what feel? …. can continue even if there is only one ray of light,do not let that light is extinguished, keep it alive and persevere. So he starts to live, think and analyze before committing any act of suicide, seek help, talk, express yourself, say what you feel, there are so many ways, many ways to express ourselves, to seek help if you need a hug, just say, that there will always be open arms for you and a warm heart for you. This article I did for a call to ALERT to the world.
